Sybil Spurgeon is an accomplished employment attorney and human resources consultant with over 20 years of experience. She routinely advises clients on all aspects of the human resources function, including recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits, staff performance and discipline, development and retention, legal compliance, record keeping, policy implementation, and policy enforcement.

Ms. Spurgeon has significant experience representing both employers and employees in contract issues, including drafting, negotiating and enforcing employment agreements, severance agreements, non-competes and other restrictive covenants. She regularly drafts and revises employee forms, policies and procedures, and handbooks.

She is skilled in advising corporate, municipal, and non-profit employers regarding compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations concerning non-discrimination, employee leave and benefits, safety regulations, and wage and hour issues. Sybil has represented employers in grievances and investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also specializes in representing employees, particularly medical professionals, in private disability claims.
